Stop 01 Escape the Bustle of Fes and Explore the Peaceful Middle Atlas Mountains

You will start your day by visiting Dayat Aaoua, a beautiful lake located in the National Park of Ifrane. The lake is surrounded by mountains and forests, and it is a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery.

After visiting the lake, you will continue to Ifrane, a charming town nicknamed “the Switzerland of Africa.” Ifrane is known for its European-style architecture, its pine forests, and its cool climate. You will have time to explore the town, visit the Al Akhawayn University, and enjoy a delicious lunch in a local restaurant.

Stop 02 Explore the Berber Village of Azrou and Meet the Macaque Monkeys of the Atlas Mountains

After visiting Ifrane, you will continue to Azrou, a Berber village located in the Middle Atlas Mountains. Azrou is known for its traditional Berber culture and its macaque monkeys.

You will have the opportunity to visit a local wood sculpture workshop and see how the Berbers make their traditional crafts. You will also have the chance to meet the macaque monkeys, which are tailless apes that live in small groups in the cedar forest.

After lunch, you will take a hike in the cedar forest and get up close to the monkeys. You will also have the opportunity to take pictures and learn about the monkeys’ behavior.
