Our journey continues as we head towards the captivating Todgha Gorges, taking the route via Skoura Oasis adorned with its lush palm groves. This renowned path is often referred to as the “Road of Thousand Kasbahs”. A stop along the way treats us to a visit to Kasbah Amridil, showcasing the essence of southern habitation. Our route then leads us to El Kelaa Mgouna, known for its May rose harvest. This region is abundant in various rose-derived products. Our adventure persists through the picturesque Dades valley, granting us delightful vistas of its deep and enchanting landscape.

After a delicious breakfast, we embark on a journey to the mesmerizing Todgha Gorges. Here, you’ll marvel at the geological wonders of the gorges and soak in the lush greenery of Toudgha’s million-palm groves. Our adventure continues through Alnif town and deeper into the intriguing expanse of the black desert. Off-road excitement awaits, as we traverse dry riverbeds and engage with the serene desert ambiance, accompanied only by the gentle chirping of birds. A picnic lunch on the move adds to the adventure, all the while relishing the untouched beauty of the landscape. Our path leads us to Ramlia, where we connect with warm-hearted Berbers, sharing memorable moments. This day promises an authentic adventure, as we tread the path famously taken by the renowned Paris-Dakar race. Finally, we arrive at the quaint village of Ramlia, where a cozy guesthouse awaits, ensuring an unforgettable overnight stay.

Today’s schedule offers a delightful contrast to yesterday’s long drive. Begin the day with a leisurely breakfast before embarking on a visit to the local village of Ramlia, where you can explore its charming gardens. Interact with Berber families, sharing moments over a pot of mint tea. Our journey then takes us to Merzouga, a journey of less than three hours from the village. En route, traverse the iconic Paris-Dakar racing route, treating yourself to mesmerizing vistas of sand against volcanic rocky mountains. Our path merges in Taouz, leading us to a village inhabited by the black community, where the heartfelt tunes of gnawa music, hailing from African descent, resonate. Finally, we reach Merzouga, where relaxation awaits and preparations for camel trekking commence. Around 4:00 PM, set out on camel rides, embarking on an enchanting journey to spend the night amidst the golden, sandy dunes of Erg Chebbi under the comfort of a cozy tent.

Our journey resumes towards Midelt, passing through Rissani and Erfoud. The road guides us through the scenic Ziz valley, with Errachidia as our destination. Midday offers a pleasant lunch break in Midelt. In the afternoon, our path continues to Fez, traversing the cedar forest of Azrou and the charming city of Ifrane. As evening descends, we arrive in Fez and check into a comfortable Riad, marking the culmination of a remarkable 5-day journey from Marrakech to Fes.
