Tour Plan
Morning pick up from your hotel in Fes. We depart to Midelt through Imouzzér. The latter, is a tiny town with a view out to agricultural Sais plain that is considered the start of the Middlte Atlas Mountains ( 2000 m alt and up). Soon you’ll be in Ifrane, a summer resort characterized with its European style rather than Moroccan: Slanted roves against snow storms. After a short pause, we continue the way amid the cedar forest where group of Barbary apes live, and take a short break for some lovely pictures.
Move on through the cedar forest of the Middle Atlas Mountains where to see different fauna and flora of the area. See the Barbary apes (monkeys). And end up in the little town of Zaida for lunch.
In the afternoon continue the scenic road through the Eastern parts of the high Atlas Mountains to join of the longest valleys of Morocco: the Ziz valley with its million palm trees.
After some stops for pictures along the way, you end up at the hotel in Errachida. check in & overnight.
Breakfast at the hotel. Start at 9 from the hotel to the desert. Always enjoying the nice scenery of the valley of Ziz and Berber villages along the way.
Arrive in Erfoud city, known for the fossil preparation and have the chance to see some very old fossils.
Continue to Rissani with a possible stop in the local market.
After lunch transfer to the Erg Znigue. There, you’ll have the experience of a camel trek, see the sunset and enjoy your time in the desert.
Stay at the camp in Erg Znaigue
Breakfast at the camp with a touch of sunrise over the sand dunes of Erg Znaigue.
We depart to the little village of Ramlia and stop to see it as it is a good example of an African village with mad-houses. a visit to its palm groves oasis is recommended and will be proposed to see the old system of irrigation with sub ground canals.
Continue on off road crossing the dry River of Gheris ( dust called Fish-Fish) and pass Foum el Mharech.
After the village of Fougani, the Asphalt road will take via Alnif to Tinghir. Check into the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel, and drive to visit and walk in the gorges of Todra. It is most impessive geological fault in the South of Morocco. Later on, depart to Ouarzazate taking the road of Thousand Kasbah and passing Kelaa Mgouna, a town known by the roses products. and then Skoura town with its palm groves and numerous citadels called Kasbah. Travel to Ouarzazate: a peaceful town with spacious streets. Famous for the Cinema industry, Ouarzazate separates the Mountains with the Sahara Desert. In Ouarzazate visit of Atlas Studio, Kasbah Taourirt. Check into the hotel.
Nov5th: Ouarzazate to Marrakech
After breakfast, we visit the Taourirt Kasbah, and we drive to Ait Ben Haddou village that holds the most impressive Kasbah in Morocco. In the UNESCO protected site, many movies have been shot. After lunch, we drive the rest of the Itinerary to Marrakech through the highest Atlas Mountains.
Drop off at the hotel. End of the 5 days tour from Fes to Marrakech. farwell!
