Tour Plan
Pick up and departure from your hotel in Fez at 8:00 am. We leave for Midelt through the Mountains of the middle Atlas. They are barren lands where sheppered take care of their sheeps. Stop for some pictures of the cedar forest and apes are living!
After a break for lunch, you will be transferred to Erfoud, driving along a changing routes of red Jurassic mountains and the beautiful palm dated of Ziz valley.
After a couple of Panoramic stops, we pass Erfoud, known for the fossilized stones.
The journey will take you to Merzouga, you final destination for today. Check into the hotel. Rest and be ready for the desert experience.
Today, we take the time to discover around Merzouga. We visit the village of khamlia, a small village dwelt by black families descended from Sudan. We attend their performance of preserved music. We do some off road in Merzouga desert to see the life of nomad people who live at the edge of Erg Chebbi dunes. The journey takes us to Rissani, and ancient town with an active Souk. Visit of the souk and skip into Merzouga for Camel ride. Enjoy your time with happy campers who offer you a memorable stay in the Sahara desert of Merzouga. The sky is embroidered with beautiful stars or a shining moon over the dunes. The place is very peaceful. Enjoy your desert experience.
Wake-up to a spectacular sunrise pictures in the desert and enjoy the morning breeze. After sunrise pictures, breakfast will be served in the camp. Get ready to start back to Fes from Merzouga desert. Transfer to Fes via Errachidia and Midelt. Take break for drinks and food. Arrive to Fes around 18h and drop off at your hotel.
