Meet in Rabat from where you’ll start your 9 days Morocco itinerary with a city Tour. Sightseeing includes the visit of the archeological museum of Rabat, old architecture, the kasbah of Oudaya, the Hassan tower, and then orientation to Chefchaouen. Spend the evening with a pleasant walk in the Souk and take vivid pictures of blue walled street and houses. Have a drink in the Square of Ota Hammam and take a ligh hike into the source of Ras El Ma.
Overnight at the hotel
After Breakfast, We depart to Meknes which is one of the Moroccan imperial cities beside Rabat, Fes and Marrakech. Along the way, we stop to visit the archaeological site of Volubilis. A roman site that is totally deserted, but which still preserve significant life traces. We take a guided visit of the Roman ruins. Then, continue to Meknes. The later is a 17 century capital of Morocco ruled by Sultan Moulay Ismail. You’ll visit gate Bab Mansour, Hri Swani, Lahdim Square and the Sultan mosoleum. Later on, you’ll be transferred to the nearby city, Fes.
Check into the hotel
Today your day will be spent to explore Fes with a certified guide who is ready to inform you with historical facts of his city. You’ll be taken and visit the blue gate, the tanneries, the ceramic areas and end up with a walking tour inside the alleys of the medina.
At the evening, you’ll be taken back to the hotel where night will be spent.
we leave Fes behind, and head Sahara desert. It is a long journey, but you’ll feel it since the nature it beautiful and varies from one hour to the next. You’ll be taken via Ifrane, a clean city with a European style where snow falls considerably in winter. Afterward, you’ll start enjoying close forest of Cedar where chance to see the monkeys on the road rises.
Later on, in half way you’ll have lunch, and transferred via Midelt to Ziz valley where stops are taken for scenic pictures of palm trees in the valley.
You’ll pass Erfoud and head the small town of Merzouga where you check into the hotel.
Today journey reconcile will Yesterday long drive from Fes. You’ll take an easy drive to explore the desert around Merzouga.
Among the places is the Oasis where we see the vegetations and the system of irrigation. Other activities consist of visiting a nomad family and share a teapot with them to know about nomadic life in this part of the world.
We also include a visit of Gnaoua family who will entertain us with their music brought from Sudan.
At the afternoon, you’ll exchange the vehicule with dromedaries to take a ride on into the middle of sand dunes where you appreciate a peaceful night in the desert. Good night
Morning sunrise pictures of choice and then you’ll take breakfast. You ride your camel to the town. We depart with our jeep or minibus to Todgha gorges. We pass Rissani and Erfoud.
We take the time to walk in the Todgha gorges and we stop before reaching along the valley to capture some nice memories.
After breakfast, we head Dades valley where you enjoy deep valley with green vegetations along.
Night will be spent in the hotel.
Explore the area around the valley of Dades. Enjoy the nice rock formations and the green valley that stretches along the river. Continue to El Kelaa Mgouna that is known for rose distillation: in spring roses flourish and give nice scent and petals for distillation.
We continue to Skoura village where we visit the Kasbah of Amridil. Later on we drive to Ouarzazate
In the afternoon, we carry on to Marrakech via the spectacular pass of Tizi ntichka on the high Mountains. Enjoy the superb view of deep valleys and windy road. Reach Marrakech in the early evening. Check into the hotel
Today will be dedicated to explore the ochre city of Marrakech. Historical visit of Marrakech will include Lmnara, a magnificiant pool surrounded by flowers. with other impressive sights such as the koutoubia( the twin tower of Giralda in Sevilla, Spain). The Saadiyen tombs with demonstrating Moorish achitecture with its perfection; the Bahia palace. Then lunch time.
Evening drums will draw you to the Djemaa El Fna (main city square). It’s a festival atmosphere, with snake charmers, Berber and Gnoua musicians, and storytellers illuminated by lamplight and wreathed in smoke. Food stalls on the square sell fresh salads, soups, fried fish and chips, chicken and beef kebabs and even boiled snails or sheep’s head. Finish it off with a glass of sweet cinnamon tea. Stay in Marrakech riad in the heart of the medina.( dinner and breakfast).
