8 days tour from Fes: the Historical Morocco

Pick up from the hotel in Fes from where you start your historical morocco tour. We depart to the archaeological site of Volubilis which is located in one hour drive from Fes and 40 min from Meknes. Volubilis is a Roman and Berber ancient town and it is considered the capital of the kingdom of Mauretania. You start the day trip after breakfast and head toward the site where you take a guided visit.

The site is divided into public and private buildings.
You will have good informative guides to explain about all the excavated places of the site such as mosaics, arches, temples, gates and so on.
Later on, we drive to Meknes for lunch. Meknes is another Moroccan imperial city beside Fes, Marrakech and Rabat. It is the capital of Morocco during the reign of Sultan Moulay Ismail (17 century). You will be taken to see the huge walls that surround the city, the main gate of Bab Mansour, the Mausoleum of the Sultan and the medina of Meknes. Check into the hotel.


Our journey takes us to the administrative capital of Morocco where we enjoy sightseeing of Mohamed V Mausoleum, the Kasbah of Udaya and the necropolis of Chellah. After lunch,we head to Casablanca. Visit of Hassan 2 Mosque and city areas. Check into the hotel.


Morning drive to Marrakech. First contact with ochre city. After hotel check in, you’ll have your own time to take a wander in Jamaa el fna Square and the market. Accommodation at the hotel.

Day4:Marrakech city tour

Get a full day sightseeing of Marrakech. Morning tour with a certified guide to explain about the historical places of Marrakech. The attractions include the Mosque of Koutoubia, Bahia palace, Madrassa Ibn Yousself. After 1pm, you’ll be free to explore the rest by your own such as market area and Gueliz. Accommodation at the Riad.

Day5:Marrakech-High Atlas-Ait Benhaddou-Ouarzazate

Set off for Ouarzazate by crossing the highest Mountains in the North of Africa via the famous pass of Tizi Ntichka while enjoying spectacular views of Berber villages and deep valleys. After the high Atlas Mountains, you’ll stop by the known fortified village called Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. The Kasbah is taken as movie set and a UNESCO site. You’ll visit the Kasbah and have lunch. At the afternoon, you’ll be transferred to Ouarzazate for some sightseeing: visit Atlas Studio, Taourir Kasbah and later on, you’ll check into the hotel.

Day6:Ouarzazate-Skoura-El Kelaa Mgouna-Dades valley

From Ouarzazate to Dades valley you enjoy the best scenery of the southern Morocco. You’ll pass by Skoura village known for its long oasis of palm trees, and then you reach El Kelaa Mgouna: a town where farmers cultivate roses whose water is extracted from flower petals. The journey take you along the stunning valley of Dades with is magnificent green plants and rock formation.
You have time to stop in each of these places. At the evening, check into the hotel.

Day7: Dades valley-Todgha gorges-Erg Chebbi desert

Today, we are going to Sahara! Yes, after breakfast you’ll be transferred to Todgha gorges: a nice geological fault giving the most impressive canyons in Morocco. You’ll have time for a walk to take lovely pictures of the river and canyons. Later on, we head the little town of Merzouga with a stop for lunch along the way. In the afternoon, we change the car with camels who’ll take you amid an ocean of sand dunes to the camp where you enjoy incredibly peaceful night. You’ll be served food and play some music with our happy campers. Good night!

Day8:Erg Chebbi-Zizi valley-Midelt-Fes

Before sunrise, you’ll be awaken to have such nice picture of the sunrise. You’ll start the camel trek back to the town where you’ll have breakfast.
We start with our jeep to Fes enjoying sightseeing along such as the valley of Ziz. We reach Midelt and might stop for some food. The afternoon takes us through the middle Atlas Mountains via Ifrane to Fes. End of the tour.
