Day3:Essaouira to Marrakech
Morning transfer to Marrakech. Today will be dedicated to explore Marrakech. Historical visit of Marrakech will include Lmnara , a magnificent pool surrounded by flowers. Your guide takes you to visit other impressive sights. The koutoubia Mosque which is described as the twin tower of Giralda in Seville, Spain and the Saadian tombs which demonstrate the Moorish architecture in its perfection. Also visit the Bahia palace and Madrassa Ibn Youssef. The guide takes you to the restaurant for lunch.
Evening drums will draw you to the Jamaa el Fna (main city square). It’s a festival atmosphere, with snake charmers, Berber and Gnoua musicians, and storytellers illuminated by lamplight and wreathed in smoke. Food stalls on the square sell fresh salads, soups, fried fish and chips, chicken and beef kebabs and even boiled snails or sheep’s head. Finish it off with a glass of sweet cinnamon tea..
Riad Bahia salam or similar
Meet in your hotel and departure to Ait Ben Haddou Ksar Via the high Atlas Mountains.Enjoy enchanting Berber villages and lush valleys. A long the way we stop for lovely pictures. We arrive to the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou where we visit the Kasbah, an important sight in the Southern Morocco which is put under UNESCO protection. Lunch in the village. We continue via Ouarzazate to Zagora through the Mountains of the Anti (small) Atlas Mountains. We join the Draa Valley with its million palm trees. Arrival to Zagora and check into the hotel.
You’ll be transferred to Merzouga desert via the villages of Tazarine & Alnif. Before possibly visit the ancient market of Rissani and then move on to Merzouga. We change the vehicle with camels and start a camel trek into the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. You enjoy peaceful night in Sahara and gaze at shinning stars. You can enjoy some music around fire with the campers. Sleep well
Wake up for sunrise pictures. Breakfast and take a camel trek into the town from where we depart with our jeep to the gorges of Todgha. Along the way, we stop to visit the Souk in Rissani if we coincide with the day day market.
Time will be spent to enjoy the spectacular Todgha gorges where water flows along the valley. After lunch, you will be transferred to Dades valley with stops to enjoy the scenic road in between. We reach the Dades valley in the evening, and check into the hotel.
We depart to Ouarzazate taking the road of Thousand Kasbah and passing Kelaa Mgouna & Skoura village with its palm groves. Ouarzazate is a peaceful town with spacious streets. Famous for the Cinema industry, Ouarzazate separates the Mountains with the Sahara Desert. We continue to Ait Ben Haddou. you visit the most attractive Kasbah in Morocco and the spot for numerous films like the Gladiator. The site of Ait Ben Haddou was declared a world heritage patrimony by the UNESCO. After lunch we carry on our way through the Tichka pass (2260M), with enchanting Berber views. We arrive in Marrakech in the early evening. We drop you off at your Riad. Have a nice stay in Marrakech.
